We are currently seeking a Data Engineer Lead to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee (US-TN), or Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Job Title: Data Engineer Lead

Location: Nashville, TN or Plano, Texas ( Onsite position in either city ) 

Overview:

NTT DATA is seeking a highly experienced consultant and data engineer to join NTT DATA’s innovative Data Village team as a Data Village Player Coach in Nashville (or Plano). This onsight role focuses on enabling enterprise-scale Business Intelligence frameworks, with a  strong emphasis on Power BI, Snowflake, Azure and secure data infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on enterprise analytics, and deep expertise in Power BI , including framework support, capacity management, and enterprise enablement. In addition, the ideal candidate will have :

• Strong scripting skills in Python and PowerShell.
• Experience with Snowflake as a primary cloud analytics platform.
• Strong understanding of hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and capacity planning.
• Proficiency in managing secure data environments and encrypted data flows.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and manage Power BI at the enterprise level, enabling analytics across 20+ business units.
• Act as a first responder for Power BI dashboard issues and framework-level escalations.
• Maintain and enhance 10–15 enterprise-wide Power BI frameworks for automation in instance deployment, version upgrades and analytic/viz framework design.
• Perform proof-of-concepts (POCs) and adapt to evolving BI tools.
• Collaborate with business units to ensure visualization standards and performance optimization.
• Manage and automate Power BI Gateway deployments across 200+ VMs.
• Support migration to Microsoft Fabric capacity and manage premium capacity environments.
• Ensure secure handling of highly confidential data with full encryption protocols.
• Troubleshoot Snowflake connectivity and optimize queries for performance.
• Build and maintain robust batch and streaming data pipelines using Python and PowerShell.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on enterprise analytics.
• 4+ years of Power BI experience (framework support, capacity management, enterprise enablement, etc.)
• 3+ years of scripting skills in Python and PowerShell.
• 2+ years of experience with Snowflake as a primary cloud analytics platform.
• 2+ years of experience working on hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP)
